As a writer myself and having written an e-book about cocaine addiction, a best-selling self-help book, two novels and worked as a copywriter for blue chip businesses, I know only too well the fears that arise when we get ready to birth our creative work into the world.
The worry that we will be laughed at, that we won’t succeed, and that we may get bad reviews.
The pushing against that collective hum that apparently living a creative life won’t pay the bills or that our beloved work won’t be treated with respect.
It’s one thing spending all those hours scribbling away, it’s quite another to show the world what you’ve been working on.
That’s where I can help ease the need to please all the readers in the world, where you can connect with the ones you want to reach.
To create a great book, blog, piece of art that gives you and your reader/viewer a moment of beauty, clarity, deep thought, and meaning.
Your work is important: the world needs your creativity, your stories, your art. It’s time you believed it.
So many people feel they have a message inside, a story to tell, a picture to paint, but when it comes to actually publishing, promoting or even finishing their work, they are filled with fear. Others may have had some success, and are living a creative life, but are carrying around shame from past disappointments.
It might not be obvious straight away, most subconscious beliefs aren’t – they tend to show up through procrastination and self-sabotage. Taking 10 years to write a book, making 20 edits and it’s still not ‘perfect’. It might be only sending a manuscript to 3 agents (rather than at least 40) and then when they drop those packages in the mailbox, feeling petrified about anyone reading it.
Imagine if you could feel good when you send your work into the world, with strong intentions, with a farewell party and opening the door to the next whisper of inspiration.
We have to let our work go to allow new stories and messages to come in.
I love working writers and artists as these techniques work on two levels helping you to:
- Relieve the daily anxiety of procrastination and instead, become creatively productive.
- Discover the deeper beliefs that are holding you back from becoming the writer and artist you dream of being.
As this is a visual and wordy technique, I’ve found that artists and writers take to it with gusto and create stunning images to help them heal.
I have experience in all types of writing and marketing and often my clients ask me for guidance, yet my true gift lies in helping people have emotional resilience with their creative work when launching into the world.
If you think I’m the person to help you, I have a few options of how we can work together.
